UPDATE: What to Expect Right Now from Travel Abroad

Within about 2 weeks of my last blog post dated for the end of June, international entry requirements for US citizens travelling to Italy and Europe became much easier.  It is no longer necessary to fly on a “Covid free” flight.  Now, instead of jumping through the above hoops, upon entering most points in Europe, US citizens are only required to present 1 of 3 things: 

1. For those vaccinated, you need only to show proof of said vaccination. Vaccines accepted are AstraZeneca (Vaxevira), Johnson and Johnson, Moderna and Pfizer. 
2. If you are not vaccinated, you will need to take a PCR test within 72 hours of departure to prove that you are negative, 
3. Finally, if neither of the above apply, you will need to show proof that you had the Covid-19 Virus within the last 6 months and have recovered. 

All documents must be in English, French, Italian or Spanish and be issued by the country you are arriving from. 
***These requirements do not apply to passengers younger than 6 years of age.

It is also necessary for all travelers to complete a Digital Passenger Locator Form.  This form can be found at:  https://app.euplf.eu
